Stage 2

January 2026 update

Construction at Merewether Residences is progressing steadily, with several important milestones achieved over recent months as the project moves into its next phase.

By the end of December 2025, grouting works were successfully completed, enabling the commencement of detailed excavation and piling works throughout January. Essential infrastructure improvements, including water main upgrades, have also been undertaken to support the development. With these early works progressing as planned, the project is now entering a busy and productive construction period for 2026.

During February, works will continue on site with ongoing earthworks, construction of shoring walls and establishment of capping beams. These activities will prepare the site for the next stage of structural construction in the months ahead.

Further updates will be provided as the project reaches key milestones.

February 2026 update

Construction at Merewether continues to progress with strong momentum, with key structural works advancing steadily throughout February. Major groundwork remains on track, supporting the coordinated delivery of the next phase of construction.

During the month, detailed excavation and piling works continued across site, alongside ongoing installation of the capping beam and shoring wall to further strengthen the structural framework. Levelling works at Hole 3 were also successfully completed, with turfing and irrigation now underway, reflecting the steady progress being achieved across multiple areas of the project.

As we move through March, works will remain focused on advancing the capping beam and shoring wall, with excavation continuing in parallel to prepare the site for the next stages of structural construction. Turfing and irrigation at Hole 3 are scheduled for completion later this month, bringing this area to its finished level.

March 2026 Update

Works on site continue to advance at pace, with March marking solid progress across excavation and enabling activities. Key groundwork remains well coordinated, supporting the transition into the next phase of structural works.

During March, excavation, piling, and soil disposal progressed across the site, enabling continued installation of the capping beam and shoring wall. With these elements now established at the southern end, excavation to formation level has commenced, representing an important step in preparing the site for subsequent construction. High voltage works have also commenced, further advancing essential site infrastructure.

As we move into April, focus will shift to extending excavation, piling, and soil disposal toward the old clubhouse footprint, alongside ongoing progression of the capping beam and shoring wall. Excavation to formation level and high voltage works will continue in parallel, maintaining steady momentum across the site.

April 2026 Update

Construction at Merewether Residences continues to build strong momentum, with April marking significant progress across key areas of the substructure phase as the project advances in line with program.

During April, excavation works reached formation level at the western end of the site, representing an important milestone and enabling the commencement of piling works to establish the building’s foundations. At the same time, construction of the shoring wall and capping beam progressed at the eastern end, alongside ongoing high voltage infrastructure works. With these activities successfully underway, the project is well positioned to maintain steady progress through the coming months.

Throughout May, works will focus on continuing piling operations, detailed excavation to foundation levels, and further advancement of shoring walls and capping beams across the site. These works will support the next stage of substructure development and ensure continued momentum across all areas of construction.

May 2026 Update

Construction activity at Merewether Residences continued to advance throughout May, with several important milestones achieved as the project progresses.

Excavation across the basement footprint progressed steadily during the month, creating the conditions for piling and foundation works to advance across site. Approximately 40 piles have now been completed, representing a significant achievement in establishing the building’s structural foundations. Progress was also made on both tower crane bases, where reinforcement works continued in preparation for concrete pours scheduled for June. In another key milestone, works commenced on the stair and lift cores, marking the beginning of the project’s transition from bulk earthworks into vertical structural construction.

The focus over the coming month will remain on advancing the basement structure, with excavation and piling works continuing across site. Concrete pours for the crane bases are expected to take place during June, while reinforcement of the lift and stair cores progresses alongside the commencement of the first pile caps. As these works continue, the development will begin to reveal more permanent structural elements, providing a clearer indication of the building’s form as construction moves into its next phase.

June 2026 Update

Construction at Merewether Residences continued to gain momentum throughout June, with several significant milestones achieved as the project moves closer to commencing above-ground works.

Detailed excavation and foundation works progressed steadily across the site, while piling advanced toward completion, with 157 piles now successfully established. As this critical stage nears completion, activity has shifted toward preparing pad footings and pile caps, laying the foundations for the building’s future structure. Another major milestone was reached during the month with both tower crane bases now formed, reinforced and poured. This important achievement paves the way for the installation of the project’s first tower crane in July, marking an exciting step as construction prepares to transition above ground.

Over the coming month, excavation will continue progressing from the western end of the site toward the east, alongside the commencement of formwork, reinforcement and the first concrete pours for the pad footings. Construction of the western retaining wall will also begin as the basement footprint continues to take shape. The installation of the project’s first tower crane will be a key milestone, providing the critical infrastructure required to support the next phase of structural works and bringing the vision for Merewether Residences another step closer to life.
